The ConnTech 2000 ESCONÔ generator/ analyzer can now connect directly to signle-mode cables for test and analysis. Connecticut Technology Products has designed a line interface plug-in module that allows the present ConnTech 2000 to be upgraded from a multi-mode source to a single mode source. For applications where a direct connection to single mode cables is required.
The ConnTech2000-ESC meets or exceeds the IBM ESCONÔ optical physical layer specifications for single-mode applications as defined in the IBM Enterprise Systems Architecture/390, ESCONÔ I/O Interface, Physical Layer Document SA23-0394-00. Also the ConnTech2000-ESC generates ESCONÔ Data Frames and ESCONÔ Ordered Sequences that comply with the Link Level Transmission and Reception of Characters as defined in the IBM Enterprise Systems Architecture/390, ESCON I/O Interface Document, SA22-7202.
