Connecticut Technology Products, LLC.

Mission

Connecticut Technology Products is a lean, dynamic organization dedicated to bringing to market high-quality, time and cost-effective solutions in the Telecommunications and Data Communications Markets. We are committed to providing the highest quality of work, whether it is developing our own product line or providing a full range of engineering services to another company.

Company Overview

Since it was founded in 1996, CTP has brought to market two products of its own. It also has provided a wide range of services to several other companies developing their own products. In fact, CTP applies the same energy and enthusiasm in helping companies turn their product ideas into reality that it does to its own products.

At the heart of CTP is a small core of senior-level engineers. The core members have worked together as a development team for over ten years. Together, they are responsible for bringing more than 40 products to market. Each of the core members has direct project-management experience and a full understanding of all aspects of product development. CTP can maximize concurrent engineering because the core team has worked together for so long. This leads to shorter development time and avoids the typical problems that arise during product development.

The core team is supported by several top engineers who have worked with the team over the past ten years. These engineers are applied by CTP as required. This allows CTP to customize its design team for each project in order to obtain the optimum price and performance.

CTP is in a position to work with companies in developing OEM agreements for their products as well as entering into strategic alliance partnerships.

CTP can be contracted to participate at any level or part of a project. We can be involved from the "white board" brainstorming sessions to the management of the product manufacture or any part in between.

Four areas of expertise are available from CTP: Systems Engineering, Hardware Engineering, Software Engineering and Engineering Services.

Systems Engineering

The Product development cycle starts with an analysis of the requirements of the specific project or task. This can be anything from a simple product-requirement outline to a thorough system specification. CTP has years of experience in systems engineering and can provide any level of support required in this area.

Hardware Engineering

The Hardware group boasts a wide range of experience in developing products for the Telecommunications market. They use a top-down design methodology and have experience in both high-speed digital and analog designs. The group has developed numerous microprocessor cores ranging from the Intel 80188 to the TMS320C31 DSP. Their experience includes both analog and digital filtering. They can work with virtually all types of programmable logic.

CTP specializes in the development of PCB transmission lines required by today’s demanding applications. We employ state of the art software simulation tools in the development of transmission lines.

Software Engineering

The Software group specializes in both embedded systems development and in host control software development. In the embedded environment, they have development experience in both C and Assembly. The group has developed for numerous microprocessors ranging from the Z180 to the TMS320C31 DSP.

The group also specializes in the development of User Interface control software for the PC running Windows 3.1x, 95, or NT. They have experience developing interfaces in C, Visual C++, and Visual Basic. This means CTP can provide a total software solution. In fact, the Software group developed all of the embedded and host control software for the products listed above that were developed by the Hardware group.

CTP has acquired extensive working knowledge of the NT operating system with the successful development of NT-based device drivers.

The Software group can also provide complete user or programmer documentation for the software it develops.

Engineering Services

Engineering Services was added to CTP as a separate group because we realized that getting product to market involved far more than drawing schematics and writing lines of code. The group specializes in managing the product aspects of development to ensure that the efforts of the hardware and software developers are maximized.

Specifically, the group designs the enclosures, manages the documentation, expedites materials, and coordinates the efforts of vendors. Over the years the members of CTP have developed relationships with several key vendors. Our relationships with these vendors have enabled us to deliver quality products at reduced cost. We have adopted the practice of making our vendors a part of the development team from the start, thus avoiding multi-vendor problems and ensuring that the product meets design objectives. In addition, the Services group provides assistance in gaining agency approvals by working closely with the engineering team and the appropriate testing facilities.

Products

CTP's flagship product, the ConnTech 2000 is a powerful ESCONTM Tester/Analyzer/Generator that comes in a small, low-cost package.

Business

CTP is both a design house and a manufacturer of its own products in the Telecommunications and Data Communications field. We also form strategic alliances with other companies, when it is mutually beneficial.

Simply put, CTP is in the business of success.
